Time for another night out in the North East!

Hi Girls

 

Now that Christmas is out of the way, I think it's time for another girls' night out. I've heard that the Modbury Tavern (on the corner of North East Road and Reservoir Road) has been done up, so how d'you fancy giving that a try?

 

Only trouble with that is that Thursday nights are probably a bit busy (late night shopping at TTP) so I'm suggesting Wednesday night instead (with apologies to the soccer wives who I know it doesn't suit).

 

Let's say then Wednesday 20th January, 7:45pm onwards, Modbury Tavern (unless anyone has heard anything terrible about the place!).

 

PM me if you want a mobile contact number, bring along anyone you want to, look forward to seeing a few regs and a few newbies there!

Just having my 'once a year' nose on the forum and saw your post. Yes Mand and I will be there plus Nikkie Manning and Pam too. I'll also check to see if Mrs Spiby is allowed out to play.

Excellent - looks like we're going to be taking the place over!! Has anyone been there before? Or since their refit anyway? Is it ok?

 

We went for dinner the other night...it's a decent place, although not as nice as the Grove. I'm not sure there will be a large enough, loungy enough area indoors.

Hi

It's the Modbury Plaza Hotel - it's on the corner opposite Dick Smiths (junction of Reservoir Road and North East Road.

I went in there tonight, and as you go into the restaurant area, there's a nice undercover "outside" area by a wall fountain, we'll see if we can grab some space there (just outside the restaurant area)

Morning everyone! Wow! What a turnout, never knew there were so many of us expats over this side of town!! Thanks everyone for coming along, was a good night, and lovely to catch up with everyone either again, or for the first time. Don't think the Modbury knew what had hit them!!

 

Judy's talking about organising a family bbq in a park somewhere one Sunday in the near future, so that the other halves can join in the socialising (if they want to!) - so keep an eye on the social section and she'll post up some details, or feel free to pm me your email address and I'll add anyone who wants onto my "Winery Girls" distribution list, and email out details of any get togethers.

 

Of course, anyone else is welcome to organise anything.....

Great night last night. Not long staggered out of bed! Can't believe we managed to stay past our 10pm kick out time like in some places!

Awww Matt, you'd have been welcome along the other night, you might have felt a bit left out though as you'd have been the only guy....!! Will definitely keep you in the loop for the family bbq though (if Judy tells me of course!!)

 

You're also welcome to come along to Zumba classes at Turra Murra!
