It's that time of year again!!!

Saturday 23rd of January the 37th Compass Cup is held.

Including Australia's only Cow Race.

Venue - Mount Compass - just follow the crowd.

Details here on a web site............ http://www.compasscup.com.au/index.htm

We regularly attend - a great day out.

Very much a community/ Aussie/ no frills day out.Well worth a visit if you like that style of event:)

Lots of fun / gentle and not so gentle humour.

We normally sit up on the stands.

Might take part in the odd event :goofy:

If a few are coming we might set up some shade tents

Might see you there :)

Looks brilliant - will be a fun day out for the kids too by the look of it. Do you just find seating when you get there??

Kids love it :)

It's a sit where you want event - bring chairs/ blankets or hop up onto the stand.

Ooooh I cant wait to be in Mount Compass (hopefully will be our home village) in 2011 for the Compass Cup. Hopefully will see you all then.

I helped out on the barbie at the Cup in 2001 when I was living and working at The blueberry Patch (just down Nangkita Rd.....the TDU went past there too) go pick yourself some blueberries and enjoy ... yum!!

Think I am getting stranded by hubby as he wants to watch TDU in Willunga!

The TDU stage is not all day - never mind what he tells you!:cute:

We are going to be at the Compass Cup around lunchtime onwards.:)

Be warned though that there is very little shade there if it is a hot day!!

We went last year and had to give up before the races as the kids were burning up! The stands are very popular and small and people definitely hold on to their seats.
