New to this..... Hello all

Seb and I moved here from the UK in October. I had heard about this site so i thought i would give it a bash. See which fellow pommies are out there.........I feel a little lacking in UK humour.

It would be great to get to know some couples who have been through the same process of moving over. The up's and Downs and any tips.

My husband Justin (37) and I moved here in June 2007. We live 10 mins north from Mawson Lakes in Greenwith. He's in the RAAF and is away at the moment, back in May. We'd love to meet up with you sometime if you fancied it!

We've just had a get together for girls over this side of town - you just missed it, sorry about that! There were quite a few there from Mawson Lakes. We're hoping to maybe sort something out in the next few weeks like a family barbecue so that the 'other halves' can enjoy some socialisation too. Keep an eye on the social section and I'll put the date up on there when we have one! Otherwise feel free to PM me an email address, and I'll email you out details. No obligation to come along, just a relaxed kind of thing, we were thinking of maybe Morialta Reserve as that has plenty of space to spread out, handy parking, stuff for kids to play on if they want and of course, free barbecues. You don't have to have kids to come though! Or even an 'other half'....

 

We try and do a girls' get together every month or so - anyone can organise it of course, but I tend to pick a date out of the air if we haven't met up for a while and post it up (I'm a control freak, but I'm fighting against it!!) so if you fancy coming along, again, keep an eye on the social section!

Unfortunately I am in Happy Valley in the south so not really near Mawson Lakes but i'm sure you'll meet lots of people from this site who are.

 

I have made most of my friends from this site it's a real god send!!

 

Look out for all the meet ups that are arranged it's a great way to meet new people!

We are paul 37 Kerry 30 and son dan 12, we moved over in july and live in Mawson Lakes, (Avocet drive) We would love to meet up for a drink and a chat sometime, you can never have too many freinds, there is a few of us now and we all meet quite alot, we also go to the boat deck cafe on sundays for coffee.

I am in Para Hills, which is not far from you, me and my husband Sean have been out here since Nov 09, so we are new to area aswell, how are you liking the Mawson Lakes area, we have been to look round there a few times and it looks a lovely place to live.
