Looking for friends - Brighton area

Hi everyone! Hubby and I moved here from London 6 months ago. We have been too busy settling in the first few months, and then had a spate of visitors, but now that the dust has settled and husband has started work I am beginning to feel a bit stir crazy on my own at home and frankly in desperate need of some girlie company!!!! I am an accountant but decided to take a career break for a bit and enjoy what Adelaide has to offer. We live in South Brighton, I am 37 husband is 41, we are quite sporty, no kids, have 1 very cute cat. If anyone fancies a daytime drink or coffee sometime pls drop me a line! We will also pop over to the next monthly meet up so hope to meet some peeps there too......

Yes, in 2006 my husband (then boyfriend of 3 months!!) and I decided to give up our lives in London and spend a year on the road cycling from London to Sydney and living in a tent. What can i say except it seemed like a good idea at the time

 

Seriously though we both loved the whole experience (especially now that it's over and I can look back and chuckle fondly at all the hard times we've had, there are way too many pictures of me sobbing by the road side after a b*stard hill). We absolutely fell in love with Australia in the final leg from Darwin to Sydney, particularly loved the outback, and ofcourse Adelaide. That was when we decided to move here! :-)

Hello Sedef,

we have been here only since July & your right to start your busy setting up home and everything then when it settles it can get a little lonely, we don't have children either so miss out on those networks. I'm always up for a coffee PM me your number & i'll send you a text. We live in Glenelg and my husband doesn't do coffee so i'll be glad of a coffee companion!
