Hi everyone,

I'm a 29 year old who's moved over from Glasgow in Feb and until Sept, I'm here on my own. My first housemate turned out to be a complete nightmare - so much so that I was tempted to go back when my boyfriend left a couple of weeks ago! I've moved into a gorgeous house in Kingston Park now and all is well again!

I'm working at Flinders and have some lovely colleagues, but I'm reluctant to socialise with them too much as I'm their boss!

My boyfriend and cats are joining me in Sept, and in the meantime I'm looking to set down some roots and start socialising! If there's anyone out there that fancies catching up, please let me know! Specifically, if there's anyone out there who's a member of Genesis Genelg and wants a gym buddy, let me know!

Cheers,

Anna

Hi Lesley-Ann,

It'd be great to catch up! Whereabouts are you? I'm a slave to public transport at the mo but can get myself to most places!

I'll probably be a huge let down as I've only lived in Scotland all of my adult life - went to Uni in Edinburgh at 19 and loved it so much I stayed! I grew up near Carlisle so not too far away! My boyfriend grew up in Helensburgh though so we frequently went through Dumbarton when heading down the road!

PM me your mobile and we could sort something out!

Cheers,

Anna

Hi Martha,

When are you heading over? My boyfriend works in Stirling - quite often went through to meet him! Give us a shout when you're heading over and we can catch up!

Cheers,

Anna

Magic. How would Saturday the 28th suit you? If it does, then I'll start a Scottish Get-together thread and see how many folk we can rope in.....

You'd better make it open to everyone or you'll get accused of being racist in favour of the Scots!!!!:biglaugh::biglaugh:

Hi Squareman,

I would definitely be up for a get together on the 28th! Would I be allowed though seeing as I've only spent all my adult life in Scotland? ;-) But, as my boyfriend likes to remind me... Cumbria belonged to Scotland once upon a time!

All are welcome. I only ever lived in Scotland for the first few years of my life but I consider myself 100% Scottish. I sound more scottish than anything else, but I am a child of the world! hehe

I don't own a kilt, so you are one up on me Mitchell!

OMG....we thought we were the only Scottish people here!!! i'm joanne, husband Stephen and 16 month old Freya! Stephen originally from balloch, me from Renfrew. Worked at the southern in sunny Govan and now Calvary wakefield!! dont want to sound desperate but would love to meet up with some other folks in the same situation as us. we just moved over in January. its not too bad for me...met a few girls at work and had a few drinks but feel bad for stephen, he is a nurse too and doesnt get much male company...i.e. someone to watch the football with over a couple of pints! we live in the mawson lakes area. let me know if you guys fancy a meet up. i'm 34 and stephen is 40 x

Hi Joanne,

My first ever nursing post was at the Southern, 9 years ago! I'd definitely be up for catching up, not much use for footie talk though - boyfriend is and he'll be out in Sept. He's 36 and from Helensburgh so not far from Balloch!

Let me know if you wanna catch up...
