Hi everyone my name is Chloe, I’m a bit confused of howthis website works, so i thought i would just make my own thread, i moved toAdelaide in December, I’m a uni student at flinders i saw this and was likewooow! english people!! haha, my Brother is here too, he is 26 and misses pintshaha.

 

We would love to come along to the social events will be great to meet otherpommy travelers

 

also i saw a post from someone saying they miss galaxy, in case anyone else is,there is a shop down jetty Road that sells galaxy !!!!! i was very happy wheni found it ; )

I am 27 and a dual national I was born in the UK, moved to oz and then back to the UK and am coming back to oz in SIX WEEEEEEEEEEEEKS!! Yay! I am hoping to do a MClin at one of the uni's soon. haha it is amazing!!! a little random sweet shop, they do all English sweets, its amazing! 6 weeks cool, yes i would love to arrange a meet up. were abouts are you moving to? we will have to go have a good few drinks

Welcome to the site Chloe!! I am sure you will find plenty of people on the site to meet up with. How long will you be out in Adelaide studying? We arent quite out there at the moment but cant wait till we do.

Ha ha ha not at all Lisa:biggrin: thankfully for me I dont like chocolate so all good there. I lived in America for 4 years and some brits used get withdrawl symptoms which cracked me up so when i move out to adelaide i will be good

Hi Guys! Im origionally from Canterbury in Kent! Great to see so many fellow poms! I've been here well im coming up to my 4 year anniversary next month! I have found a few english sweet shops since arriving here! One is in Marion, Another is in Hahndorf and then the one that Chloe mentioned in Glenelg... They also have started stocking birds custard power in Woolworths too! I nearly cried when i saw that! I do love the glaxay chocolate also and bough myself a little bar when i went to Hahndorf last! I have been in Adelaide nearly a month and you may have seen from my other posts I have been sick nearly the whole time, Flu/kidney infection, and still unemployed and the weather hasnt been too special imho we have had the odd day here and there of nice warm and sunny and then it just rains and the evenings have been cold but I know summer is on its way! yippee.
