regular meet up's north of city?????????????????????????????????????????????//

hello everyone, we've been here a year now and still have not managed to get down south to the monthly meet up's, due to the distance to get there, and also really wanting to meet people closer to home, I have some lovely friends who live down south and its a nightmare having to drive over an hour to socialise.

 

so like our southern counterparts, I wanted to know if people were interested in setting up a regular meet and greet up north, at the end of every month.

 

my first thoughts were a park date and barbe at the big park on the Golden way, golden grove, or fish and chips at semaphore, but we would also have to have indoor options as we go into winter,

 

Im a crap organiser, as some of my new acquaintances will vouch for!!! but am happy to help coordinate something if there is interest. this has to be open to everyone, with, without kids, young, older, etc etc...

Hi we are in semaphore,

kids 6 and 4. never been to met ups loved to go

covered playground up in semaphore and covered benches and bbq area

We're happy to come along...Semaphore is good for us. Have made some good new friends down south so would be good to try a bit closer to home, too!

We've got a girls' meet up on 30th June - I think at Va Bene in Paradise - send me a PM if you want details. I'm not the organiser this time (yayy!) but one of the other girls is doing it. Also, Sunshine, I have a daughter who babysits if it's any help :-)

hi all god you guys are slllllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww i posted this in May and then hid with embarrassment as no replies, been so long i couldnt even remember my password and had to create a new user name etc etc.. anyhow looks like semaphore would be a good spot for the majority, thats great.

 

First things first we are having a girls night next saturday 30th June (this will be the first night for some of us) all welcome, looks like this will be at Va Bene in paradise table for 8:00pm(i have no idea where this is at the mo, but will post info once i have some) this will be a great chance to have a wine, and some food cooked by someone else, and a chance to get out of my slops and into something half decent, ohhhhh its been a while. looking foward to having a laugh and getting to know some people. if anyone keen inbox me and I will count you in for the table booking, Im in golden grove and would love to share a taxi or something with some people, or maybe people may know if Ve Bene is on the bus route?

 

Back to the family get togethers fancy a fish and chip tea either a saturday or sunday arvo, if we take a leaf out of the south regualr meet ups, they do it once a month (meet up i mean) and its always on a sunday afternoon at the same time. if we keep something regular then people can come and go as they please. so is it to be monthly? if so what day? and time?

When : Sunday 8th July 2012 at 2pm

Where: Semaphore park next to the pier

What: meeting for all to get some networks and connections going and make some friends:jiggy:

Hi Jo,

 

My husband and I will be arriving in Adelaide on 25 th August. I've read your thread and it sounds like great fun! Alec's new job is at Portside mitsubishi so we will definitely end up in the north. We haven't got any kids yet but are really up for meeting new friends if anyone is interested?

HI all reminder of the meet up this sunday at 2pm we planning on having a play at the park and then fish n chips for tea, hope to see some smiley faces there
