Whats on in Adelaide on New Years Eve?

Hi - We are a family of 6 who will be arriving in Adelaide over the Christmas period to activate our visas:)

 

Our two eldest girls are aged 25 and 20 and our sons are 12 and 7. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do for New Years Eve.......on a budget?

 

Any ideas gratefully received.

Fireworks down on Semaphore beach...

Fireworks in the city as well great for families Couldnt recomend it enough Great night

or there's also a big fireworks display at Glenelg... very nice after fish and chips on the beach - it's free, plus you can get the tram easily from the city.

I agree with the other posters about fireworks on the beach - We always go to Brighton....then go onto a party at a local Surf Club.....we go to Moana, but any of the surf clubs along the coast will probably put on a disco ...its a great atmosphere in there and most clubs are on the beach front.

We took our own picnic supper and drinks to Glenelg and sat with loads of others on the grassy banks 200/300 metres from the jetty - great atmosphere and they do a 'family'display at 9.00ish if you have younger children as well as the midnight one. Also had a drive round various places nearby to see the Christmas lights.

New Years already. i suppose it is only just around the corner......

There is a usually a good party atmosphere down at Glenelg and also in the city, with music and fireworks.For younger kids there is a firework display at Brighton just off the jetty around 9pm usually. it's pretty cool to sit on the beach on a barmy summers night and see the sky light up.

For the Adults lots of nightclubs in town to keep them occupied. I hope you have a great time over here.
