Guest USA soon just SA

I OBJECT!!!!!!!!! we are both 40, and refuse to allow you to so casually adopt the term "oldie" for people who are presumably of the age range of 40+. I insist that people falling into in this group meet over a few drinks to determine a better term. See, would those "kids" be able to come up with such a good pretext for a social gathering? I THINK NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. We are arriving October 22 from the USA.

Hi there

My daughter and I have been here just over 2 years now and live in close to you in Aberfoyle Park, we are originally from Birmingham. I'm interested in meeting up if anything is arranged. I work in Noarlunga and pass Hallett Cove each day.

Oh great !!....you're an 'oldie'.... well that must must make me and my wife geriatric then? We're in our early fifties and we arrive in two weeks. You're only as old as you feel right?..... This is an ageist comment, I'm gutted......... I suppose if you offered to send me a couple of crates of beer, I could forgive you (see I'm too soft hearted for my own good)..

Just realised, we're moving to Hallett Cove as well, so you could bring the crates around and save postage.

Hi Lynda

just found your posts. I have just arrived in hallett Cove with my husband and two kids (8 and 5). rapidly approaching 40 (well a year to go!). My husband is already working as he has been here for 3 months already and I am worried about meeting friends. Your post sounds great and I wondered if you had any plans to meet up with anyone that you have already met that I could maybe gatecrash!?

Hi Lynda

I too would be interested in meeting up. We have recently moved to Marino, with our two children (4 and 5 months), and I also have reached the big 40!! Hope to hear from you soon

OK, so we have oldies and geriatrics for the 40s and 50s - but we're both over 60 and, in fact, halfway to the next decade ......... defo one foot in the grave but young at heart!

What are we called???

(My daughter and her husband are 40 & 40+)

If we turn up you'll regognise us by our walking frames, hearing aids and white sticks!(Sorry if that's not PC:policeman:, no offence meant to anyone who relies on them)

I'd take the line of 20 year olds with 30 years experience . . . .
