Hello everyone,

 

Me and my girlfriend moved to Adelaide about a month ago now, we like it here but be good to meet some new people to go have a few beers etc with, were both in our mid 20s and are pretty sociable people akthough finding it pretty tough to meet new like minded friends. Were living in Norwood atm so if anyone fancies going for a drink or whatever let me know.

 

Also pretty keen to join a 5 aside footy team in the area, if not maybe create one depending on how many people i can get together? Let me know if anyone fancies a kickabout and perhaps a beer after.

Hiya Chris,

 

Me and my partner are moving to Adelaide in a month, we are both in our mid twenties and would love to meet up with some people of similar interests as we have no family or friends in adelaide. Im a big football fan (gooner) and would be keen to get involved with playing. cheers, simon and leanne

Looks like weve got quite a bit of interest for the 5 aside team. Probably need about another 3players so we can have subs aswell.. If anyones elses interested or knows anyone, let me know and i'll start looking into it a bit further.

Hello!

 

I don't know about soccer, unless you fancy playing with a girl who last played on a team aged 12 and has the co-ordination of a snake on stilts. I would be well on for the beers though. I'm in my 20's too and living in the city - on the East side so not a million miles from Norwood. I've been here a while now and made some great friends but they've recently all headed to other shores (they promised it was nothing to do with me... !) so would love to catch up with you sometime!

Hi Chris87 - We're also up for meeting some new people. Moved to Adelaide in April from the UK. Loving it now that the decent weather is here! I'm 30 and my hubby is 31 although we like act like we're still in our mid 20's! Still like to party, go to gigs etc. Hubby also plays football so I'm sure he'd be up for 5 a sides. Let us know if you've got any meet ups planned and we'll come along too! Cheers, J

We should have enough for a team now, what weekday evening would everyone want to play? Perhaps Thursday? Its a $30 fee for each team registration, then $9 per player per game. Games are 30mins and the venue is the adelaide indoor sports centre. Let me know what evryone thinks. Cheers.

I'm interested in joining. Currently playing for a full 11 a side team but will be up for playing indoor on Thursdays in a couple of weeks once the season is over.

 

Don't want to intefere, but have you been to the Adelaide indoor sports centre in Findon before? there are quite a few places that would be closer to you! For example there are places in Stepney, Campbelltown and the one I currently play at on Tuesdays in Blackwood.

 

Also, that reminds me. I need 1 more regular player for my Tuesday indoor team, so please let me know if any of you are interested.

As I've just arrived, literally today, I'm not really sure when will be best for me. Really need to find my feet first with family, getting a property sorted and will then come along. Sorry if that isn't overly helpful at this stage.

I work a mixture of night/day shifts but most evenings are fine for me. Im Living in unley but am ok to travel.

Speaking with the football place yesterday... they have said that we would have to put a time range of Thursday nights from around 6 till 9 ish, and the games will be within these times every week!

 

Which is abit annoying as i dont really fancy playing at 9pm! However this should only be on occasions. Let me know everyones thoughts on this and what time everyone would be happy to play & we'll see what happens.. ive spoken to a few places and there all pretty much the same!

Hi guys, i've been in adelaide for about a year. would be good to meet up for a drink. i've been playing 5-a-side for a while and have just signed up with the guys from work in a new league starting at west beach. games are between 6-8pm on sundays if you fancy that. it's on astro-turf and there's a bar also which is good!!

Any luck JK? For anyone else that's interested the league we're gonna be playing in is socca league. the website is www.soccaleague.com

 

Was waiting on Chris as the originator of the thread.. Chris, have you heard back from any of your venues? This soccaleague looks a good set up, league starts end of the month and theyre still accepting registrations.

 

Looks like we may have enough for a team :cool:

Hi guys i wasn't really looking to play that late on a Sunday really but all other venues are becoming a bit of a pain to try and pin down to an earlier time.

 

So if you want to arrange that, its fine by me, i will come and play for sure. I have a lot of peoples phone numbers on here to contact. If you want to sort out the venue and i will sort out getting everyone together?
