New to Adelaide and Flinders Park!

A bit nervous about writing this so here goes.....!!!!

My husband moved to Adelaide 6 months ago and our 2 children (Poppy age 6 and Ruby age 2) and I joined him a week last Tuesday! We are in our early 30s (!!) and looking to meet families in our area as I am just about finding my way from Flinders Park to Henley Beach in the car, although Martyn negotiates the roads here like a pro!! I'm sure I was never this useless back in Wales!! Would be fab if anyone fancies meeting for play dates in the week with me and Ruby or a catch up with the family on the weekends. Look forward to hearing from you

I live in Fulham gardens, my husband and I with our two children moved here in September 2011 we have hope 4 in July and Paige 2 in may. I go to a wonderful playgroup at Fulham gardens primary on Thursday's 9-11.30. It is so friendly I have made all my friends through this playgroup.

I will be there on Thursday if you are free to come along and I can introduce you to the lovely group and hopefully be of some help.

Hi we arrived in January, we usually meet up with other families on a Friday night in Semaphore, not sure if it to far for you! We are also from Wales, have 2 kids Jac nearly 6 and Ela 3.

Hi both! Thanks for replies, they were welcome reading while we were sitting in medicare in a very long queue! The joys!!

 

Ellena, the playgroup sounds fantastic and it is so close to us! We started going to one in Henley Beach last Thursday and unfortunately its at exactly the same time! Ruby really enjoyed it so we are going to head there again this week but if you know of anything else I am open to all suggestions! Its great knowing that there are things in our area that we can go to as Rubes isnt one to sit still and we both enjoy socialising!

 

Claire, Semaphore is about a 15 minute drive from us (been reliably informed by Martyn) so not too far at all! Only downside at the moment is that Martyn is working nights for the next 2/3 weeks (civil engineers are so inconsiderate!) but would love to join in with the meet up if we can when he is back on days? Just noticed you are from Caernafon, we're from Newport but I'm originally from Wrexham. Small world!!
