Live music Fri 22.3.13 8pm Port Noarlunga/Christies Beach RSL

Hi folks

 

If you're looking for something to fill this Friday 22nd March evening there is live music, (yes live, none of that backing track or effects crap) on at Port Noarlunga/Christies Beach RSL, The Esplanade, Port Noarlunga.

 

Jedd Band are a Pommie/Aussie Rock/Blues band (of which one member is my husband) who have worked extremely hard these last twelve months at something they enjoy. Feel free to come along and support them. Always a great atmosphere and drinks are cheap too. You don't have to be a club member or have a club member sign you in. Entrance is FREE. The music starts at 8pm. For those who haven't visited a RSL before, the music will stop for a minute or so at 9pm so that the Ode of Remembrance can be read for those who have lost their lives whilst serving their country and also those who have served and returned and also those who are still serving.

 

Hopefully some of you will be able to make it.

My hubby Jon knows your husband Jed (he worked with him back in Royton / Shaw with Chris Keogh), anyway we are close by it would be good to say hello.

Oh yeah he mentioned Jon. Small world eh? I'm certain they do allow children but not sure if there is a time limit. The RSL are on Facebook (find them on Jedd Band page's 'Likes') so you could always mail them. It would be nice to meet you. We also know somebody else who you met the other week at a BBQ...Steve (from Shaw) & Nikki (from Blackpool). It's a very small world isn't it?

Yep, I'll be there. The singer is also from Shaw and he has his sister visiting at the moment. It'll be like you never left.

Do they do food in there as well,like to have a scoff before then a bit of entertainment.Been here nearly a year now and it would be nice to socialise with some poms a bit.

I agree Chris, the Jedd Band are really getting popular now, they've worked so hard, and are well worth listening to.

 

BTW I've had my 2 year old granddaughter down the RSL there til midnight with no probs

Just a reminder that this event is tonight. Hopefully see some of you there. We (the wives) are usually the noisy dancing bunch usually near the front somewhere so be brave and come and say hello.....we don't bite.
