anyone moving in october to city/eastern suburbs?

Hi all,

 

We've finally got our dates finalized. Had a reccie to Adelaide a few weeks ago, loved it. All systems go at present! Very exciting! Hubby, 2.5year old twins and myself will be taking the plunge!

 

We've secured a rental property that we love in Campbelltown.

 

Just wondering if there are any others moving to the eastern suburbs/city region later on this year? A lot of people seem to be headed south and would be nice to meet with others in the same boat in the eastern/northeastern areas? If interested, drop me a PM.

How you secured rental while you are outside Adelaide?

I used domain.com.au and looked through rentals. I found one I loved, rang the agent who took me on a video tour of the home, looked at the home on streetview courtesy of google earth, gave the agent my references and voila! We had a deal! Now just need to find some other newbies around that area and we're sorted!

Good luck with the rental. We saw some that looked lovely on pics etc, but terrible when we were there. One had a smashed glass greenhouse in the garden which they said the landlord was not prepared to remove! The agent said that they had a lady and her son lined up to rent the place from overseas if they didn't find anyone sooner. The difference in the pictures and the actual place were amazing (in lots of houses). Hopefully you have got a good one.

Exciting times ahead for you and your family.

 

We arrive next Friday, 2nd Aug. We are staying for the first few weeks in North Adelaide and will be looking for a rental around Norwood as this is where the kids will be at school and preschool. We have two kids aged six and four and would definitely be interested in catching up once you arrive. Hopefully by the end of September we will be in the eastern suburbs somewhere!

 

Things this week are pretty manic so will drop you a Pm next week once we have arrived!
