Fishing help

Hi We have friends coming to visit soon and they want to experience fishing in Australia. There seems to be lots of sea charters but he's more of a river fisherman and I wondered if there is any package to go river fishing in the southern suburbs that anyone knows of? Or somewhere to hire equipment for a day. Cheers

Hi, I don't know of any course fishing packages at all.

 

 

I don't think there is equipment hire either.

 

 

Might be time to have them try a charter???

 

Alternatively they could buy some cheap starter stuff and just leave it when they go??

 

Perhaps call into the Angler's Choice on Beach Road, Christies Beach.

Loads of great ,free advice and some good prices on gear at the moment.

Thanks! He said he'd prefer river but would do sea, seems strike 1 charters have a cheap deal for $79pp for a 4 hour trip with all equipment provided - does that sound reasonable?

That's a bargain - reckon it's a Scoopon deal??

Just make sure they can live up to the deal.

There was a fiasco a few years ago where charters did a Scoopon deal but sold so many they could not fulfill in 10 years!!!

 

Plenty of shore to fish off if no sea legs!

 

The Onkaparinga River hold some nice fish.

I could lend you a couple of rods and tackle for a week or two if that would help out nothing great but will do the job.
