hi folks...tomorrow is adelaides "walk to cure diabetes" day...my daughter ..emma(11) is type 1 diabetic and we are desperate for a cure for her..our only hope is through research..hence our support of the charity JDRF(juvenile diabetes research foundation)...this will be our 3rd year of doing "the walk"..its a great family day..costs you nothing...loads of free stuff for the kids(farm animals ,fairground rides,face painting,treasure hunt)..yes,free...mums can meet crows star nathan bassett(a type 1 sufferer)...it really is a great day out...

we walk from wigley reserve,glenelg at 10.00am...its a 5k walk along the coast towards brighton and back...what could be nicer.

Hope the day goes well. Not in Adelaide yet but would love to do it next year. Could you inform us next year when its happening, i'm sure it is widely publicised.

meant to say...emma is a youth ambassador for jdrf,and will be walking around selling raffle tickets(great prizes)...so if you are approached by an 11 year old girl saying "heaps good" in a half aussie,half black country accent...then thats our emma!!!
