It's hard work getting OH to socialise with other Brits (it's a man thing I think!), but if you're free on 20th November, there's a few of us North East girls meeting at Golden Grove Tavern for a few drinks and a chat!

Diane

LOL leave him home then;) 20th seems to be a busy day for gatherings---have invites to 3 and I'm going to go hang out with the Canadians that night, but thanks. If anyone is interested in meeting up sometime at the Tea Tree Gully pub let me know. It's hard getting my Aussie husband to go to the pub so I have to organise it with others:)

Hi Diane,

I will probably come along. Mall has my number if you want to call me.

Martin says that would the boys like to meet up next door in the Sports Bar as he likes a lemonade or 2 or 3??

Val

Kev, how about the sports bar mate, same night as I know you are partial to a lemonade or 2 also?:biglaugh:

Val can take us home afterwards!;)

Cheers

Martin

Sounds like a plan to us. Kev would never refuse lemonade as you well know. Has Val agreed to be chauffer or have you just nominated her as Dez????

See you tomorrow (Fri) for a little lemonade tasting, my turn this week, Kev is Dez.

do you mean the fox and firkin or is there another pub we live in ridgehaven

I think they mean the Tea Tree Gully Hotel, the fox, a very nice pub is on the other side of the road opposite the Gully.

If you are home sick and need a pommy pint then the fox is ok, quite a few english bears on tap only diffrence is there cold, I have just come back from pommy and getting cold beer or water was impossible, had to get water in an ice bucket at dinner.

Fox sounds worth checking out then---thanks for the info. I do like english pubs very much (even though I'm a yank..only lived in the UK a year and a half)....the pubs around Leeds were fantastic. One of my mates there took me on a local pub crawl of some wicked places before I left for good.

Feel free to throw out some dates that work for you as well. I have nothing planned in December so far that I know about...other than Sunday the 7th.

Well that only leaves Sunday: 14 or 21 Dec. Saturdays: 6,13,20. Fridays: 5 (can't do 12th as baby sitting) 19.

Anybody any preferences?
