Family meet up.

Hi all,

 

New to Poms in Adelaide.

 

Myself, the Wife and our 3 great kids are in Adelaide to get our Migration Visa's stamped and are looking to see if any family's or couple would like to meet for a chin wag ect...

 

We arrive on Sunday 15th Feb and fly back to UK on Sun 1st March.

 

We are staying in West Lakes.

 

We will then be staying in UK for a little while longer until my wife finishes University here.

We are staying in a holiday home called Lake Villa and judging by the map online it is on the corner of Trimmer Parade and Millitary Road.

 

Hope this helps, by the way what is the weather like at the moments and also do you see many children in the area.

 

Although you dont have kids it would still be good to meet up for a coffee or a beer while we are over, why not.

I'll try and take a look for you if you want it's just down the road from us. We are future up Military road. It's a very nice area and the beach is very quiet, plenty of room for the kids to run around. If you look at your map and find Recreation Parade where it crosses Military road we live just a couple of streets from there and that is the beach we use all the time. Between where you are staying and us is the West Lakes Shopping Center and the Lakes resort Hotel a wonderful spot for dinner overlooking the lakes. Plenty of nice places around for a pint and they all welcome children.

The weather here has just cooled a little but it's set for 43 again tomorrow and 41 on Sat dropping to just 25 on Sunday!

Always up for a pint so just shout.

I am still in the UK but know the area where you will be staying fairly well. I remember going to an open inspection at one of those townhouses where you are staying many years ago when we thinking of buying a property there. Lovely views of the lake. My sister in law's house backs on to Trimmer parade on the other side of the road. There are some local shops just round the corner on Sportsmans Drive, and of course you are so near to West Lakes (shops/food halls/cinemas). The Lakes Hotel has an area with playstations for the kids to play on for free so is a great place for a meal. The Grange Hotel at Grange beach is good too. Have fun!

It's just 10.25pm here not been in very long after a walk on the beach and dinner out. Just having a beer before bed time.

Just to let everone know who has contacted us so far, thank you very much, it will be great to do some socialising when we arrive.....we love it.

 

Also, its Michelle's birthday on the 25th Feb, so I think I might through a barbie bash. (it's her 30th...but dont tell her I told you...te he!!)
