Might be a fishing day out on the tub on Tuesday.

Weather is fair but could get lumpy.

I'm going out so have a spare spot if anyone fancies or is insane enough for a run out.

Depends on the weather but it could just be local or a bit of an adventure.

Cannot promise a huge haul but can promise an experience if you have never boat fished before;)

No loonies or anyone with a fascination for sharp objects.:goofy:

If you puke - I will finish fishing before we go in.:swoon:

Boat does 70kph on smooth seas.

Full safety gear.

Just 1 passenger - more and I don't get to fish!

Appreciate a donation towards fuel and bait.

Launching form O'Sullivans Beach Ramp around 7.00am.

PM me.

First in best dressed.

Lovely offer Tyke, any chance you can keep it open till I get there in March?;)

Can't wait to see what fishing SA style is like. I handed my notice in at work today, been managing a 400 acre trout fishery. Didn't go down too well with the bosses but the regulars are gonna make sure I have an alcoholic send off :jiggy:

Have now sold all my coarse and fly gear except one rod, can't wait to spend loads on new gear over there!

See you in March!

In the words of Sheriff Martin Brody "We're gonna need a bigger boat" :biglaugh: well you are anyway Tyke :notworthy:

:biglaugh:

That exact moment went through my mind last Monday.

I was out with my old (78) fishing mate.Fishing for Whiting and Gar.

I had dropped the big rod out with a Squid head on - just of the off chance of a passing Snapper.

Forgot all about it until I heard the line peeling off faster than I've ever heard it peel before.

Tried to slow the drag down but no chance, burnt my thumb on the line trying to pull the overhead back.

This was NOT a Snapper,my old mate was saying "Great, not had any Shark for ages"

At this time I managed to put a bit of resistance on the drag................ and whatever was on started to pull the boat around:shocked:

Then the horrible "ping" as the line went slack....................... Not sure if it was bitten or bust off .

What a run!! Just like on the fishing programs (or films?).

My old mate reckons it was definitely a big shark by the way it ran straight under the boat and into the tide.

I'll get him next time!

Had a good day.

Weather was amazing - flat calm.

Quite eerie out there with the approaching humid weather.

Had a few mishaps :biglaugh:

Got out on the water to a good day.

Didn't catch a massive amount.

My fishing buddy caught plenty of Garfish.

We each caught a sizeable Smokehouse Cod.

Got bitten off a few times.

Pulled up a very big Fiddler Ray - had a look at him then let him go his way.

Nabbed a small Snapper just on size limit - but threw him back as he could have shrunk and been illegal by the time we arrived back at the ramp:wubclub:

Not the most productive day

A good day on the water :):)

That is the most sensible thing i have heard in ages:)

Just out of curiosity, whats the shore fishing around southern Adelaide like, or do you really need a boat for the better stuff.
