Havnt had chance to get out this week cause working awkard shifts.

Im probally fishing tommorow at Christies in the afternoon, Will let ya know if i get anything

I was out in the bay yesterday.

Bloody cold - tide was rubbish .Dodge tide.

 

Caught 9 KG Whiting and a Zebra fish.

 

As usual my Aussie mate caught most of it...........

I bet it was cold it's ok when the sun's but the wind just cuts through you especially out on the water. I took the dog down the cliff path could not wait to get into a bit of shelter.

There are some massive tides (well for Adelaide) this coming week.The fish will be on the bite!!!

Yeah i know and guess who knocks off work at 1pm evey day this week and guess who's gonna be getting lots of hooks wet

It was cak again today.

 

Went onto Moana Beach for a few hours.

Caught a small Pt Jackson Shark. A few undersized Salmon Trout.

 

Just waiting for that wind to drop

Winds up again today, and it's white tops from the beach, was tempted to wet a line this afternoon, but not if its blowing to hard.

well o finish work at 11.25am after a 4am start tomorow (friday) so either gonna go Christies or Moana.

Winds supose to drop then so gonna try my luck i think

Very true Russell, I've managed one mullet since donning the new wellies. I walked the entire length of Southport beach today, not a pull! Didn't see a single fish caught

 

Got to catch me some fish soon............ Think I need some go faster stripes on my waders:biglaugh:

Too cold and too windy, just wait till the temp rises slowly and the wind changes direction, works well when its warm too, drops a few degrees then wait for the temp rise and a later tide, the fish come in on the warm water.

When it's cold and rough they have no need to come in close. Specially seeing as it's so shallow out there

Glad to hear you guys over the other side of the river had no luck LOL! I was fishing the mouth of the Onka, one tommie all day. There seemed to be a few people fishing on Southport beach and i was going to join you all, just as well i didn't.

I managed to get out on my mate's boat today - heavier than mine and can handle more sea - which we needed today!

Boy was it lumpy and rolly!:shocked:

 

Managed 14 King George Whiting between 3 of us.

It's all changed out there with the last few week's bad weather.

 

I've a face like a smacked ar@e now from the wind.:biglaugh:

Guess what - despite the grief I give her Lisa is a gnat's knob away from agreeing to me getting a boat, think the nagging about working hard has finally worn her down

 

We looked at a few today at our local dealer but will have to go private.....

I have been toying with the idear of getting a boat as well. I know nothing about boats and have only been out a couple of times. Do most fishing from beach or jetty.Don't want to go in to heavy just a old 1/2 cab to start out with and go from there.let me know how you get on I'v been looking on ebay and gumtree.

I'm sure there is a few but even Mussolini had his detractors!!

 

Keep an eye out on S & H for boats,give us a shout if ya want me to have a look !

Now is a good time - winter is quiet and some boats don't get wet for months!
