Do I need a fishing licence to fish off the pier at Port Noarlunga, and what's the rules for fishing in SA?

It's a jetty!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Lol.....best place to go to for advice, as I understand from others on here, is in Christies Beach to the fishing tackle shop there. They are meant to be very helpful.

Not sure about licences but there are meaasuring stations on all the jettys telling you the minimum size of fish you can take.

Welcome to the sport,be prepared to be sucked in.......

 

No license needed.

 

Very strict on sizes and amounts caught (bag limit) here.

Which is really good.

 

As Misplaced said- call into Angler's Choice, Christies Beach Road (Nr Fasta Pasta).

 

They will give you plenty of advice, don't be afraid to ask daft questions either!!

 

Fisheries put out free leaflets regarding bag limits and sizes, there will be some in the shop - they are free so just ask.

That sounds good, I fancy getting some fishing in when we arrive in August. I havent been fishing for years but it looks like a good time to give it another go
