I did this in 2008 when I first arrived in Adelaide - I wouldn't go as far as amazing, but it was certainly a really enjoyable experience. Can't say Whyalla is top of my list of tourist spots around SA - the cuttlefish swim was very much the only noteworthy part of the weekend!

No, I'm not sure how much more Whyalla has to offer the tourist, some nice places around though. It's not tooo far from Mambray Creek which is also supposed to be fantastic for camping!

i don't remember seeing one at whyalla, but the place 45 minutes away, I think port Augusta, they do for sure.

 

I actually quite like Whyalla.
