so do you think that i should bring a bit more sutff with me got loads here fish a lots of machts so really going to miss it
My hubby is fishing mad - he is taking all his stuff, he has spent the last couple of days cleaning it all up ready for quarantine inspection!! He even thinks that he is taking some stuff over with him when we fly out but we only have 20kg each so he doesn't have a chance!!!!!!!!!
He has been on the SA fishing forum, but they seem to be mainly into sea fishing - very friendly and helpful bunch though.
We have matches here - mainly on Bream though.

We are eventually aiming for the Flagstaff Hill area I think, although there are other areas that we want to check out before making our final decision as to where to buy. We have applied for On Arrival Accomodation initially as I think it will be quite difficult to secure a private rental from over here, especially with 2 dogs. i just hope we get it as they only tell you 3 weeks before and that doesn't leave much time to organise something else...
Yes we can def. meet up, send us a message when you get over and we will have to have one of them that there BBQ's along with some refreshing TEDs :-)
If you need help with anything, just let me know and if I can I will
were exactly is "The gorge" ?
I'm up in Coramandle valley anyone know of any freshwater fishing near there?

Fished it a few times. There are some nice Redfin in there and if you can get through the Turtles some Carp.
This is why i gave up on the lake here, flippin Turtles.
Thanks for that. went and had a look the other day! Nice little pond! Rekindled my interest in dangling a line which inevitably leads to loads of questions!

do you eat what you catch or put back and if you eat is there a size limit?
Is it all lure fishing or is there any chance of a catch off a float?
And were is the Gorge with all the ponds?
Cheers and tight lines.

Reeds all around it with a few entrance points.
You'd have to hoof it down as I think most of that road is shut due to roadworks at the moment.:):)
:)Dave mac, go to Old Noarlunga and park up next to the reserve in the centre......look across the road towards the hills and cross over, you will see the river walk untill you come to a foot bridge....cross the footbridge and follow the river up stream,........you will then cross the river (might not be running ) so the rivers on your right keep walking for about 1km and the small but deep holes start....they do look good and i have seen fish moving up there
