  1. Hello. We are shipping some furniture from Singapore to Adelaide at the end of April. We have a solid pine wood wax polished table, display cabinet and 2 bed side drawers made in the UK @15 years ago, as well as wooden painted & laquered furniture from China recently bought - newly made. We don't have any fumigation certificates or receipts for any of them. None are raw wood; they're either varnished, laquered or wax polished finished. Is there likely to be any problems when they get to Australia? will they be allowed through inspection at quarantine (AQIS) or will we be expected to pay for them to be fumigated or chose to destroy? Our shippers don't think there'll be a problem, but others have warned us to double check. Any advice gratefully received. many thanks Samantha
