Hello, I just wondered if anyone had any recommendations (preferably in recent years) for a pet export company? Or even any warnings about who to avoid? We will be bringing our 4 cats with us (yes, four), and we want to make sure that it all runs smoothly. We know it will cost a lot, but we wouldn't even consider going without them. Hello. We are shipping some furniture from Singapore to Adelaide at the end of April. We have a solid pine wood wax polished table, display cabinet and 2 bed side drawers made in the UK @15 years ago, as well as wooden painted & laquered furniture from China recently bought - newly made. We don't have any fumigation certificates or receipts for any of them. None are raw wood; they're either varnished, laquered or wax polished finished. Is there likely to be any problems when they get to Australia? will they be allowed through inspection at quarantine (AQIS) or will we be expected to pay for them to be fumigated or chose to destroy? Our shippers don't think there'll be a problem, but others have warned us to double check. Any advice gratefully received. many thanks Samantha

Hello there I just wanted to know if anybody out there has used JOHN MASON INTERNATIONAL MOVERS? I am in the process of choosing a removal company. If you haven't used them but you had a good or bad experience with other please let me know. We not taking furniture only taking personal belongings (books,cds,dvds,clothes,linen,kitchen stuff,etc), therefore we would do "part of a container load", using groupage. Obviously read some of the post regarding wooden furniture, but was just thinking what you guys would think about shipping our antique wooden bookcase. it has come down my better halves family for a few generations and do not want to leave it behind. We have just moved house and (hopefully) will not need any of our shipping boxes for many years..... So if anybody is in need of 10 book and 10 large shipping boxes (plus a few other boxes we've picked up along the way) and can get to Mawson Lakes to pick them up please drop me a PM. They have come from the UK and therefore have our details written on them, so I don't know what a shipping company would say if you wanted to fill and ship them back to the UK. Our shipping has arrived, it feels like Xmas. As we left in October we kind of forgot what we packed. So far everything arrived in perfect condition. We had 57 boxes and paid 165 dollars to customs. They only checked a few boxes. 2 with Bric-a-Brac (some treated wood items), the hoover (we had removed the rubbish bag from inside) and the golf clubs. The clothes need all to be washed, they smell funny and some have a bit of mold, but so far it has come out. What would I have done different, I would have bought more basic clothes at Primark (Target here is more expensive), should have brought the bed and the mattress. Foam Orthopedic mattresses here cost a fortune compared to the UK. We did part load, I reckon we used about a tenth of a 20ft container. It was about 2 meters that we used. If we had more stuff I would say that is worth it to pay for a full container and pack it to the brim. There was lots of stuff we threw away that we had to buy over here. Basic stuff for the house. Hello there, We now have everything in storage while we wait for our visa and I need to do the shipping insurance. Anybody had any experience of it? Have you made a claim before? Most of the time I feel that insurance is a waste of time as it never seems to cover what is really necessary. When filling in the insurance form it asks in detail the total contents by item. If I was to insure 100 cd's for example, but i owned 150, if 50 go missing could I claim for it or would they tell me that I still have 100 left that are fine? Because we already have the stuff in storage and we didn't count it we only have aproximate numbers. Any feedback would be welcome.
