Just to add my hubby and daughters had the 18 hr stopover as they came from Manchester. They got a room for 3 for 6 hours and it was $80. In the foteys it looks fairly spacious and clean.

      Singapore Transit Hotel

Hi I have just been to the UK , I used it on the way out as I had a 14 hour wait for the connecting flight, and on my return for 5 hours. It is well worth the money, you get a room with a bed, en suite bathroom , with towels, tv , tea and coffee making facilities, they will also give you a wake up call if you want. As I was travelling alone it was great, I felt safe, did not have to worry about finding somewhere to sit,or watch my hand luggage.Make sure that you book in advance as it is always busy. If you book on the internet I think you have to do it at least 3 weeks before.

In the hotel room there is a curtain covering what I thought would be a window, but it is just a curtain over the wall. It is meant to give the impression that there is a window in the room. When I stayed there I stupidly went to look at the view, and behind the curtain was a wall !!! Very odd .

We didn't have a curtain - very strange though - being in a room with no windows.
