Why on earth are you bringing over sun lotion? (or sunscreen as its known here). I am sure its heaps cheaper here and you are getting the right stuff for Australian conditions ie 40C days not 20C days

Well its factor 30 & 50 and on Coles website it $14.95 which is around £10 for 500mls.....mum got 500mls for £2 in the sale over here. WHILE i don't agree with comparing the cost of things over there to here...initially when we havent got a wage coming in, we will have to take things as £8 is a lot of money. Once my first wage comes in we won't be comparing prices, we will be living within our means.

Friends of mine tried to take packed decorations over that were only weeks old, and ended up having to pay incineration fees $110-00 for some £2-50 decorations, its not worth the hassel or like everyone else says unpack it.

I would have though that any decent shipping company would have advised you on what you can or cannot do with new items. Ours certainly did, mind you that was 21 years ago. That's what you are paying them for, not just shoving stuff in boxes and sticking it on a boat ................... but their expertise with import law, customs, and duties payable.
