      Booking flights

      Hi
I'm not sure whether to book our flight through the travel agents, or direct through the airline. We may be having a 2 day stop over in Singapore.
      Any advise welcome!!

I don't know about there but here the agents add a couple of hundred onto the price that you get from buying straight from the airline. The only plus is that you can usually pay the agent in installments, whereas the airline especially if done over the net wants the whole lot at once.

We booked direct as well as the travel agents wouldnt let me fly alone with 3 children. They said we would have to pay for one as an adult. Singapore airlines had no problems with me and 3 kids

i used travelmood (on web site) for my tickets i went business class its worth the money and deff the leg room seats lay flat 6 foot long , dont forget its a long flight and its the best night sleep i had on a plane any way the price was £7100 they got it down to £6500 for two adults and child and infant
with business class you get to use the lounges in heathrow and singapore which are very nice relaxed and kids are welcome it may seem a lot of money but its a new life and a new start for you and family thats how i saw it

We also used travelmood. They are on the internet I think. They quotes us exactly the same price as we found by contacting the airline direct.

Travelmood were also able to help book the transit rooms which we had half way. We did want to go business class but 3 adults and a child, well the price we couldn't justify. New life, yes. As it was, we had space enough. On the last leg from Singapore to Adelaide, there was hardly anyone on the plane and we had a row each to stretch out on.

We booked our flights through the Singapore Airlines direct, it worked out cheaper than the Travel Agents, we were originally going to have a couple of days in Singapore, but decided upon it as June is monsoon season, so decided against it! Also, by booking over the internet it allows you to book your seats which you can't it you go to the travel agents.

      Hi,
I booked online using ebookers, it was about £80 less than booking direct with the airline, Singapore of course:)
