As Andrew Rose mentions in a previous post, motorists here are NOT motorbike aware. Also the 'Bikie' gangs have given normal motorbike riders the sort of unwarranted reputation they used to have in the UK in the 1970s! The poor state of many roads, the erratic behaviour of the wildlife and the poor driving skills here makes it not ideal for motorcyclists so do please take care if you bring your bike. They call motorcyclists here 'Temporary Australians' which sums it up. Lots of lovely drives and beautiful countryside to get to easily though!

      Thanks mate

I don't ride a chopper though like what the bikies do, I ride a sportsbike! It's sad the motorcyclists get marginalised. Still I hear ye

Yes I've driven on Adelaide roads, and I know what you mean by the indecisive and erratic drivers. It's dangerous! I've driven in Singapore, Sydney, the traffic is chaotic but organised, Adelaide's traffic is not chaotic, but erratic!

Anyway back to my question, I was asking for more info regarding sending bike over to the port of Adelaide. Anyone been through that and would like to share their experience?

Hi Merlino, didn't ship in the end, too much red tape to make it cost effective.
