Transferring UK drivers license to SA

Hi everyone,

 

was just wondering how a UK drivers license holder would go about transferring it over to a SA one?

 

would you have to retake the theory or practical exam? And how much would this roughly cost to do?

 

in my case I'm 26 and have held a full clean license for almost 9 years.

You turn up with your uk licence, passport, proof of address etc, pay for however many years you want your licence to run (you get to chose here), have your pic taken and your licence is sent out to you. Easy peasy. :-)

had a look on SA gov website but it didn't sound that simply.
