Possible to bring UK satnav?

Does anyone know if it is possible to upload an Australian map on a UK Tomtom live satnav? Or is it better to buy a new one over there?

Hi

We brought over our Tom Tom sat nav from the UK 6 years ago, we bought a card off ebay for Australia maps and put it into the sat nav and it worked perfectly kept us going until we knew our way around. Not too sure about a TomTom Live Sat Nav though what you do with them, hope this helps
