Do You Need A Passport?

Hi All
Curious about something.

Do you need a passport when you are flying on Aussie internal flights?

My Hubby's UK passport runs out next July (we will be in Adelaide end of Oct this year) and I was wondering, if we want to go on holiday, say, next September in Ozz, will he need a uk passport?

I am getting him a new one but just wondered.

Hi,

My husband has flown within Australia and he says he has never been asked for his passport, not even ID! but he carries it just in case. However, I would recommend renewing it before you leave as I have heard it is quite a bit more expensive to renew it here is Oz, might be worth checking that out though.

Photo ID is all that's required - my daughter flies on her Student ID card.

You only need a passport if you leave Oz , i.e a cruise you need passport...
