Things to do in Melbourne

Good Morning All

We are going over to Melbourne for a week first week of Jan.
We have the Aquarium and Zoo sorted but are their any hidden gems that people know of?

Also any child friendly restaurants that anyone can advise on?

Any help would be great

Our kids really enjoyed the free tram too. We only really did the Aquarium when we went but thought it was brilliant. The kids loved seeing the penguins as they had eggs in their nest when we went in October. Also there are little areas for them to crawl through and see inside the tanks.

I can recommend lots of great restaurants in Melbourne but probably not family type places. Movida tapas is awesome! There's lots of great street art in laneways around the CBD that can be fun to explore - check out Hosier Lane for just one example. If you're into art let me know and I'll send lots of suggestions.
