Hi Guys,

My dad comes out for a few weeks in November this year.

He will be 70......our sons will be aged 12 and 8.......do we head South for a week to Tasmania? Or do we head North to Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef?

Any comments from anyone who has been to either place at that time of year - or been there at all with three generations of a family, would be most appreciated.

many thanks

Sally

never been to Tassie........but I would go Cairns. Warmer and plenty of things to do. we went october and it was 30C everyday:D. Youve got a choice of where to stay. In Cairns or up the beaches ,Palm cove, trinity beach way ( there is no beach in Cairns........got a lagoon though) We stayed on Cairns waterfront....about 25 minute walk from the main area. Next time I go , ill stay no more than 15 mins.

Plenty of info on Cairns on websites.
