Just take a look at all the Christmas lights at night they love them. Also loads of carol services around etc Still feels a bit odd having the lights up and the tree but it's so worth it.

It gets pretty busy, but it does get you in a festive mood ....

Depends if you're trying to recreate a "Winter Christmas" atmosphere - as we have a summer Christmas here, the best way to get in celebratory mood is to invite the neighbours over for a pre-Christmas Bbq, order your fresh prawns for Christmas lunch, and put some tinsel on your beach umbrella!!
