Hi Diane

I might be interested as well. Haven't done any keep fit since I've been here and it's almost a year! I'll see you Wednesday so you can tell me more.

Found this site: http://www.zumbawitholivia.com.au/ and she does classes at Turra Murra and at Golden Grove, if that's any help, Nita

Otherwise there is this: http://search.zumba.com/classes/internationalresults which lists all the places they do classes. I'm going to try one this week on Thursday Rachel so if you fancy joining me (and promise not to laugh at me!)....

See you Wednesday anyway and we can chat about it then!

Hi Nikki

Which day do you go on? I started on the Thursday late one, and now go to the Wednesday one (and Tuesday this week!) - I'm the tall totally hopeless one dressed in black (I've heard it's slimming!) Say hi if you see me (or if you go on Thursday say hi to Helen (think she goes early one) or Wendy (late one!)

It's good fun, isn't it?

There's also one with a different girl on Monday nights that I'm going to try out this week! At least Olivia is now policing a bit better and only letting people in who've booked - now if they can just get the woman at the front counter to take people's money when they arrive, rather than the first 15 minutes of a class being taken up with that....

when I went last week, they had AJ in the reception area taking peoples money, so much better organised, think they getting somewhere now..

Wheres the monday class being held, theres one really close to me in hollywood plaza but they charging $20 per session think because its a private gym

Think I'll keep an eye on the zumba website for ones starting in my area

Personally I think Zumba is a load of old bull! Sure you'll get results, but you'd get results just walking for 30 mins!

LOL You've obviously never been to a class! I walk for at least 30 minutes most days with the dog, and never get as hot and sweaty and tired as I do at Zumba (although my throwing arm does get plenty of exercise)! And I've been getting fatter...... (and fatter, and fatter!) Also, speaking from personal experience, if you go to a class where someone is making you keep going for the full 45 minutes/hour, you get a far better workout than if you are walking and trying to discipline yourself not to stop for a rest when you start getting a bit puffed!! Not saying Zumba is any better than any other exercise class (I used to do Body Combat, and that was good too), but for me, something organised like that is far more likely to have results.

Oh, and Nikki, the Monday class is at St Agnes - http://www.gabyfrancesca.com/ - I think it's $10 a session there. Am intending to go next Monday (was just too hot this Monday) so if you're there too, say hi to the uncoordinated tall one in black (that's me!!)

Hi Diane,

Does the Zumba class still run at Golden Grove as looked at Olivia's website and she doesn't mention Golden Grove?

If so where and when.

Thanks

Katie
