Leave them and they will drop on their own, pulling them off too early can fracture the truck, this will slowly kill it. Dont be tempted to trin the leaf off because then the stem theat wraps around the trunk will not fall off, and could cause other problems.

Watch out for the pod, look very unusual when the turn to seed. These seeds are rock hard, some people trim the pods off early, but i don't know what the implications are in this.

 

Water them in summer, not too much once every three week late afternoon and the rest is really lesve them well alone.

You will want to find out what type of Palm they are, as some grow very tall, some are classed as a weed in other states because of the size they grow too.
