Trip to the Flinders (Video)

A couple of short videos from our recent trip to the Flinders, if you're into hiking or 4WDing then I'd certainly recommend it.

Fond memories - we got as far as Wilpena Pound and Arkaroola 2 years ago on an escorted trip (my husband and I and our wonderful and knowledgable driver Graham) - stunning scenery

We just got back from Wilpena pound today. I am in awe of the beauty !!! I will go back and camp in the ozzy spring !!!

It was amazing and yes we will def go back and camp. We stayed up at the resort at Wilpena, good base fro the first time visit but was pricey. There is so much more to see, went to the famous Prairie Hotel for lunch, Phil had their signature dish FMG (Ferrel mixed grill) Camel Sausage, Emu and a bit of Kanagroo steak.

 

Did not get as far as Arkaroola this time, me and my daughter were full of cold and the kids aren't really walkers yet.

Went to the Sacred Canyon, did the three main scenic drives, saw sunset from the top of Mount Ohlssen Bagge came back down with torches.

 

All in all a great trip, but will be better prepared next time the food is expensive so will be more self sufficient

We too stayed at thre wilpena resort. Will camp next time aswell !!! The views and the sunsets are amazing !! The hikes are just as breathtaking !!!

We went to get the ferral mixed grill but my son wasn't too well in the car due to the 4x4 on the way so we stopped for lunch at Blinman. We are hoping to go back in the spring and mad maybe do the skytrek tour !!!!
