We have recently stayed at Hutt River Cottage, 2 bedrooms with Clare Valley Cottages and Riesling Trail. The cottages are right on the trail and they also hire bikes. We had a wonderful time, cycled 35km along the trail and spent lazy afternoons in wonderful vineyards for lunch! Reilly's, Skillogalee and Seven Hill to name a few!

I would highly recommend the cottages, there are provisions for breakfast, tea, coffee, bread, fresh eggs and bacon, jams etc. All have spa baths. Great facilities. The owners are also very friendly.

We stayed in Mount Horrocks Cottage, http://www.rieslingcottages.com.au/ it was very clean and modern. Set in a peaceful romantic area overlooking Mount Horrocks and self contained. We loved the 3 legged little dog that would meet and greet you every time you drove in. Its not far from the Reisling Trial or from the main drag.

We have also stayed in one of the cabins at the caravan park http://www.clarecaravanpark.com.au/ which were good but there were lots of ants so had to go out and get some insect spray. No other problems though and it was very comfortable.
