Hiya

Poor maps but easy to get around once there.

Here is the PDF of the area.

On Brookman Road look for the Kuitpo Info Center......above that is The Avenues Picnic area. But before Chookarloo campsite.

You can have a fire in there - using what you collect. There is an easy walking trail to the back f that area as well. Clearly marked, just follow the arrows. If walking slow it's a lot less than an hour to get round.

Enjoy.

The Avenues picnic ground on Brookman Road at Kuitpo has long since been logged, seating and fire pits removed and public convenience relocated, has been like this for a while now. The closest alternative for a picnic lunch would be the Chookarloo campground not to far down the road from the old Avenues picnic ground.

I thought the toilet was still there - it was around a month ago.

Do dogs have to be on a lead?

Hi Davido.

How are ya? Just looked at Tyke's pdf link and "dogs are allowed in the forest, but must be under direct control at all times and are expected to be kept on a leash in picnic and camping areas or when near other visitors."

That sounds pretty fair to me. We should take our dogs down there sometime - but we have to wait until our new little girl has had her final shot.

Take care, Kazzarazza xx
