Hello everyone, Im new here, thought pomsinoz was good, but for SA this is fantastic.

We finally decided (we think) on Adelaide area(ish) after weeks online.

My wife wants to know, how much of the year is sunny and warm? I say anything on the UK is an improvement, but she insists she wants a hot climate for has long as possible.

The main problem I have found is picking an area, we want to live within 3 miles of a beach, looked at Sellicks beach / Silver sands, and looks greeat. But is this out of it? As want to be part of a community, with lots of socialising, as we will have no one when we arrive. I look on google earth at all the areas, then read up on them all, but I think getting replies from people who know the areas will help me decide.

Oh, we will be renting when we arrive, but its such a big place, even this wants to be in right area. Thanks for help

Hi !!!

It`s warm from around October through to March (ish) it really depends what you call warm, it can get up to 40ish and has been recently very hot but we have lovely spring, autumn weather also very mild!!

Sellicks is lovely but still classified as a holiday spot, not really in the hustle and bustle.

If you want to be near shops and people i`d come up further say from port noarlunga and going north from there!!!

Good Luck With Everything!!!!

Jo

;)Hi Welcome to PIA, have to agree with Jo on that one ,Sellicks is iam sure is one for a few years time , it has everything you need but is just a little to far from Adelaide in our oponion , we hope to settle in the Noarlunga to Seaford area , These areas have everything you could need , and not to far from the City for us as working in the city is not an option. The beaches are great and you are still only 10 mins from the country side. Good luck Cheers Graham
