Music scene in Adelaide.

Music is very important to me and if we make the move then my circa 4k records will be coming with me. My brief experience of Adelaide left me the impression rock and guitar led music is popular which may leave me and my electronic music as bit of an outcast?

 

Is there any sort of electronic music scene, record shops actually selling vinyl or clubs/bars. I would be after pure music venues not gimmick venues.

We have yet to experience the club scene here since arriving but judging by my precious. visits and my sister who has been here 7 years there is quite a good club/dance/trance/electronic scene here. Lots of local djs perform and there is a radio station (fresh fm) which is pure dance music and run by volunteers. They also have Stereosonic which is a yearly dance event much like Creamfields but on a smaller scale I guess.

That all sounds good. I'm a little old for current day clubbing but love to hear the older music being played out through a big system. Maybe get myself settled and see if I can get a radio slot or even a night in a bar.
