Quick question.... What are the Nippers? Is it a club for kids?

 

Leeds nippers is little lifesavers. Basically kids from 5/6 up to teenagers train every weekend doing surf/water skills and beach flags etc. Then at the junior age U8 age they can compete against each other at club level. This weekend is the state championships. Later in April is the Aussies held at QLD for all those competing at state level.

 

There are clubs along the coast from Aldinga to Semaphore - great way to get in with the aussie life style and the kids to make friends and be water confident.

Not sure if there was another thread started but:

 

Well done to all those who participated. Any kids who did the swims from U11 and up had one massive course!

 

Well done to Port Noarlunga who did a fantastic job as hosts for two days.

 

If anyone is at a loss of what to do next weekend, pop down to Southport SLSC and you will see the seniors battling it out.

 

Look out for the blue an yella of Moana bringing home the swim events - go Moeys!
