We went to The Stag several years ago and it was terrible. Our steaks were very undercooked and we sent them back and so did the group sat next to us. We decided to give them the benefit of the doubt as it was a very busy evening and the chef might have been having an off day, so went again months later and it was still not up to much. We figured if it is a steak restaurant and they can't cook steak there is something wrong. We last went 4 or so years ago, so things may have improved since then.
Under cooked steaks? I don't understand what you are saying. A steak can never be under cooked! I might have to go there, I only ever get them over cooked lol.
Last weekend we went to see South Pacific at the Festival Centre and were planning on going for a meal at Parlamento but it was fully booked (I think everyone else had the same idea of a meal before the show). We decided to give the Riverside Restaurant a try at the Intercontinental Hotel as it was close by and we had not been before. We both had steaks and they were cooked to perfection for us, some of the best steaks we have had. About 2/3rds of the people in the restaurant were either going before or after South Pacific (as there was a matinee performance) and one of the waitresses commented that it was good to have something on in the city in January as it was bringing in a lot of extra business into the area.
I have been to North(under the casino) and their steaks melt in your mouth and not in your hands... oh wait thats minstrals, but the steak was still very nice.
