Sputnikz

Sputnikz is performed by some of the young artists from Cirkidz performing troupe, Adelaide's premier youth circus company, and is inspired by Antoine de Saint Exupéry's timeless classic Le Petit Prince.

Come and fly through space with the Cirkidz acrobats as they visit strange planets, tumble through anti-gravity and make friends with an alien or two. These astronauts balance, dive, throw and stack themselves all the way to the moon and back. Who knows? Maybe you'll become a star yourself.

Free workshops suitable for eight to 13 year olds are available Tuesday 9 July to Friday 12 July 1pm or 2.15pm daily. Registrations via the Goolwa Information Centre are essential so act now to secure your place.

Room on the Broom

How the cat purred and how the witch grinned, as they sat on their broomstick and flew through the wind...

The team behind The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo's Child return to the Festival Theatre with the next adaptation of another international bestseller from Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. Expect more songs, laughs, puppets and scary fun for children aged three and up... and their adults.

The witch and her cat are flying happily on their broomstick - until a stormy wind blows away the witch's hat, bow and wand. A helpful dog, bird and frog find the witch's lost things, and they all hop on the broom for a ride. But this broomstick's not meant for five and - crack - the broom snaps in two!

Will there ever be room on the broom for everyone?

Please contact event staff for prices.

Swan Lake

Swan Lake, the world's most beloved ballet, returns to its roots in a new, traditional production by The Australian Ballet.

Commissioned especially for the company's 50th anniversary, it has everything a good Swan Lake should - a troubled prince, an enchanted swan, a malevolent magician and doomed love.

Choreographer Stephen Baynes is renowned for his intense musicality and classical purity. Together with designer Hugh Colman, he's created a ballet of unprecedented magnificence at the Festival Theatre.

Following 2012's Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake promises to be another sell-out for The Australian Ballet.

You will enjoy choreography Stephen Baynes, music by Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, costume and set design Hugh Colman assisted by Lexi George and lighting design Rachel Burke.
