A run down to Goolwa.

Had a great day around the south. Victor Harbor was packed as was Port Eliot!!

 

Goolwa not too bad, we stopped and had a beer and chip on the Wharf - just under the Hindmarsh Bridge.

 

Then had a wander down Goolwa Beach (4WD only) and stopped at a few likely spots to gather Cockles - not many at all, legal ones have all been harvested I'd say now

 

It was packed in Victor Harbor and Port Elliot Labour Day long weekend here though.

 

Goolwa Beach was pretty quiet though!

 

Still love living here - and driving down 10k's of beach:biggrin:

As you are coming in to Goolwa from Pt Elliot look for the roundabout.

Turn off right and just follow the road down to the bottom.

 

It's four wheel drive only.

 

Watch out for an incoming tide as it will push you onto the soft sand and then momentum is everything!!!
