Hi all, just wanted to share details of a fabulous community event this Sunday, 28 September. I work for a charity, Can:Do 4Kids, supporting deaf and blind kids and we are celebrating our 140th year.
There's food by 20+ different gourmet food trucks - Fork on the Road
Wines available from Adelaide Hills Wine Region (12+ wineries plus beers and ciders)
Music and entertainment all day including a ventriloquist act for the kiddies at 12:30
Loads of kids activities (all free except a small cost for the video gaming and hamster balls):
- Jumping castle (this one still gets me - I want to call it a bouncy castle!)
- Animal farm
- Face painting
- 'Little Hands' Auslan (Australian sign language) lessons every hour
- Sports activities presented by Ready Steady Go Kids
- Video gaming
- Giant hamster/zorb balls
The Fair is open from 11am - 5pm and is at Townsend House (the gorgeous historic - by Australian standards - building which was the original school for blind and deaf children). 28 King George Avenue, Hove - limited parking is available on Mary Mount College oval - enter off King George Avenue. Entry is by gold coin donation.
