Suggestions for Camping?

We are keen to get out and explore this coming weekend as we've only been here 3 months. A friend has kindly lent us their car so we're going to head off camping. Can anyone recommend a campsite (ideally wild or pretty basic) that will not be ridiculously busy over the bank holiday? We wanted to go to deep creek but have been warned its unlikely we'll get a spot. Any ideas?

that is not going to happen!......everywhere will be busy especially as this is the first public holiday of nice weather!.....

 

This weekend last year we went to mount Crawford.....it was very busy but there are lots of spots there so you might ​find one!

If you left early on the Friday you might get a spot at deep creek. Thursday would be better.

The riverland is great for camping and often not as busy.

We fancy deep creek but need back up plan if its full! Is there anything else out towards victor harbor?

If you had access to a boat Port Vincent is a good spot for whiting fishing. Sorry I cannot advise on tours.

You could try rapid bay, I think it's in Yankalilla.

$10 per person per night, you'll need to get there early on Friday though. We looked for over a month to try and find a campsite for this weekend because everywhere was fully booked.

Try Normanville caravan park, it's a lovely beach there.
