Not sure if this is useful to anyone but we have just booked flights to the uk flying Emirates.

 

We are visiting India for 10 days on the way to stay with some friends. Doing a multi city (Aus, Mumbai, UK, Aus) we actually got flights for both of us for $3300 so $200 less than just going to the UK :smile:

 

The flights are leaving at beginning of march returning mid April, I didn't check any other multi city routes but might be worth a look
