Sorry if i'm being stupid but can anyone tell me what "Median" is based upon?
200K, 210K, 220K, 225K, 230K, 240K, 600K
then the median value would be that of the 4th value = 225K
the average value would be (200+210+220+225+230+240+600) / 7 = 275K
Medians prevent extremely high or low values from distorting the picture. Obviously in this example the median of 225K is a more representative figure that the average 275K which has been distorted by the one high value of 600K. Hope this makes sense !!
Where there are an even number of values then the median is half way between the 2 middle values, ie the median of 1,3,5,9 is 4.
Amazing what I find to do instead of doing the housework !!!

I must be missing something it never would take 8 hours to walk to henley even on one hand and you could have had a pint at the westbeach lifesavers club. There are loads of great pubs around adelaide. We have had plenty of lads nights out in the city, Glenelg, Marion and other suburbs. I think if you expect eveything to be like the UK you will be disappointed and if you want pubs by the sea just go to Blackpool would be far cheaper lol.
Has the OP answered or responded - don't think so.
Do we have a troll post?
Your brother would probably enjoy the city better than the burbs there are many pubs within the city, problem being that many of them are now becoming more function centers, same situation really in Melbourne. He should check out the Grace Emily, and there are some great pubs on Rundle Street for the younger guys also, the Exeter is pretty good also, because it is a city full of students at the Uni it is quite easy to meet people your own age there.
