Christies Beach - from the sea

Just a couple of shots of Christies Beach.

 

The first is straight on - looking right at the Beach Road area.

 

Picture #2 is looking south over Witton Bluff and down to Port Noarlunga Jetty.

 

 

 

 

 

Looks so quiet there.

Not too much down there,wrong tide.

 

Came back with a few King George Whiting and Gar.

 

Hit loads of Rock Cod near the mouth of the Onkaparinga - toothy little critters they are - and not good eating.

Further down can be productive I've heard.

 

I'm still scanning the bottom for interesting patches and trying to find my own "secret spot";)

 

Had a much better day last Thurs with my old fishing buddy - lots of Gar and Tommie + a big Blue Crab for Mrs Tyke's lunch.

Not too much down there,wrong tide.

 

Came back with a few King George Whiting and Gar.

We can do that sometime.............might not be for a while as I'm spending a fair bit of time with Mrs Tyke on the water + going out there with a couple of Aussies who are teaching me loads.

Ya don't need flash gear out there.

Light rods and line for Gar/Tommies and not too heavy for Whiting.

Pulling plenty of Snapper but all undersize I'm afraid.

 

When I see a clear patch coming up I'll give you a shout.

Yeh mate thats me...its great i am loving it....gets outta the way from the big downturn in manufacturing right now.
